a mouse left on your pillow
why are you screaming?
darkness calls out to
enter, explore, hide within
paper bag on floor
beware the small beast
hunter of bugs and toy mice
I am the shadow
the ancient ones knew
human’s life purpose: to serve
the needs of the cat
cold and bitter fate
cat toys are in the drawer
I cannot reach them
question not the cat
for I am always right and
I know where you sleep
Who invited them?
Until the new people leave
