when forging new paths
it’s best to be the one
with the longest legs
today’s position
paws bunched like broccoli: low-carb
version of cat loaf
stopping to ponder
life’s meaning: snow may be deep
but I am deeper
a cat’s purr-spective
shelves are a convenient stack
of sideways boxes
digging in the snow
no dirt, no mud, and no one
has to wipe my paws
like a well-placed chair
thrumming with chi energy
the feng shui of cats
sleep: a work of art
drawn with paws, tail and belly
on a dog bed canvas
not on the ground or
up in the tree, the squirrel’s gone
but I’ll be waiting
freshly laundered sheets
warmth from dryer lingering
purr-fect place to rest
sure, there’s room for you
or you can sleep on the floor
in one of the dog beds
Stop, sniff and follow
Put your nose to the ground and follow us on...
