snout deep in cold snow
gently lifted, powdered white
licked clean by pink tongue
pondering physics
gravity’s indifference
ball fell down the stairs
unbearable to
endure existence apart
bathroom door is closed
so nice of you to
provide a pile of clean clothes
fresh from the dryer
white frozen mantle
covering earth, hiding sticks
snowman lost an arm
indignity, mine
magnified by nosy cat
cone of shame, endured
which room to lie in
it’s a cat’s prerogative
to choose not to choose
snow, like life, offers
delight and difficulties
sticks to fur and snout
left unattended
fair game for occupation
this chair is now mine
huddled together
we find refuge with friends, while
they vacuum downstairs
Stop, sniff and follow
Put your nose to the ground and follow us on...
