Photo: Standing tall on the snow

Recipe for a Weird Winter:
Start with one Polar Vortex. Add 9 inches of snow. Warm it up a few degrees, then add 3 more inches of snow. Top with a 3/4 inch layer of freezing rain. Freeze with an arctic blast.
Decorate with a 70-pound dog.
Anybody else have weird or extreme weather recently? What does your pet think of it? And if you are living in a warm and sunny part of the world, please share some of it with us; we’d be very grateful.

It’s too bright and hot over here!! I don’t even want to go out in the middle of the day! Love the long shadow in the picture 😉
Thanks. We could use a little of your warmth. 😀
Cool picture. The surface is so hard that 70 lbs doesn’t make a dent. I remember what this was like, having grown up on the East Coast.
Glad I am not there now!

Thanks. It’s been a tough winter. With layers of snow and ice, it’s very hard for the dogs to walk, let alone run. Sometimes they sink. Sometimes they slip. And sometimes they’re walking on a surface that collapses beneath them. They still have fun, though, and still gamely try to run and play.
beautiful photo. have a great day
Thanks. It’s not snowing today, so that’s at least one good thing. 😉
All I can say is BRRRRR
Exactly! After that picture was taken, we got another foot of snow on top.
Lovely photo! Beautiful shadows, and the snow looks like it was sprinkled with tiny crystals. Top it off with a dog, and it’s perfection!
Thank you! I think anything topped with a dog is perfection. 😉
Weird and a very COLD Winter. Fresh SNOW is the best. ENJOY and Stay warm. Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
Thanks. We’re thinking warm golden thoughts!
Wish I were “standing tall in the snow” Our snow is soooooo high that it is over my head! BOL! Have a great Sunday! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
We got another foot on top of the ice, but it’s not over the dogs’ heads…yet. I hear there’s another 1 to 2 inches coming tomorrow night.
That is way cool! We had that a long time ago, or several inches of snow, but I still sink! Love Dolly
Thanks! The ice was really thick; for a while it even held a human and I admit I weigh more than my 70-pound dog.
We got about 2 feets of snow from da last storm we had but Max and me sink in it so dad snow blowed us paths so we can still do our zoomies in da yard!
Thanks fur stoppin’ by our bloggie today, it is always nice to make new furiends. 🙂
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max
Nice to meet you! You have a very nice dad to make a path for you. We got a foot of snow on top of the ice in the picture. It was too much for our pups; at first they had to follow me as I walked around the yard in my snowshoes.
What a cool picture. Our weather has been just like yours. Hiss!
Hiss indeed! In fact, I’d add a growl or two. We’re ready for Spring.
That is wild! Standing on the snow. Great shot!
Thanks! I think the dogs were a little puzzled by it.
I think Mr. N misses our snow (we had some for about four days). Onyxx is very happy it’s gone! It’s warmer now but I think we’re under a flood watch.
Oh no! A flood watch isn’t any fun. Hope you guys stay dry!
