Photo: The welcoming committee
TweetBlack and White Sunday
The sound of tires rolling over the gravel in our driveway announces to our dogs that Someone has come to visit. I don’t think it matters to them who exactly the Someone is because a) it’s always exciting when anyone arrives, b) whoever is coming is probably a Very Best Friend, and c) they might bring treats (like the UPS guy).
I can only imagine what it is like for people who approach our front door and are met by the welcoming committee: they would see three doggy heads bobbing and smiling, feel the whirlwind of wagging tails, and hear the soulful rooorooorooo of Jasper as he moans an exuberant greeting.
What I love most about this photo is the way you can see the tails in motion–and how Tucker has wagged his right into Jasper.

My Ma would LOVE to be greeted by such a Committee! Imagine how fun it is to try and get in the door. BOL Happy BW Sunday.

That’s a great photo! Mom still has yet to figure out how I hear here coming home from more than a block away. Love Dolly
Dogs always know. That’s all there is.
What a sweet photo. The lady would love to be greeted by this happy crew.
Purrs,
Annie
I know, right? Every who comes to our door gets those waggy tails!
Great photo – love the tail wagging. That’s about the same vision we get when we come home, just one less dog.
Our cats sometimes join in, too–particularly Athena.
My Mom says that the welcoming committee is her favorite part of coming home and she just wouldnt know what to do without us there to greet her! Thanks for sharing this sweet picture!
My dogs can always tell by the sound of the tires or something whether the car in the driveway is friend or stranger. Friends get tail wags.
Most of us greet visitors by heading UTB as soon as the doorbell rings. Mauricio, however, who is Mr. Social, is all over anyone who enters. This is such a delightful photo of the pure joy that the dogs are feeling. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
It took me a second to get UTB. And then…of course. That’s where Dawn and Calvin head when they’re not sure if the new humans in the house are friend or foe. (Foe means someone they don’t know.)
I would love to be greeted by that welcoming committee. Laika does a pretty good job solo but it’s not quite as impressionable as your crew 🙂
They look so happy!! Visitors at our house get greeted with a chorus of barking, not as inviting as at your house.
i LOVE this photo!
We usually run and hide when somebuddy comes to the door. But you should see us when the mom comes home. We’re at the door waiting for her.
Your UPS guy brings treats? How neat. Great photo!
There’s only one of my so I have to wag my tail extra hard and get three times as excited as normal when people come to my house:-)
Too adorable!
They are so cute!
We love to charge the door together. If the guests aren’t expecting dogs, they are in for a surprise!
Look at those happy tails!
Wish our welcoming committee was so calm. Our place sounds like the end of the world when tires hit the gravel!
Sugar seldom barks so wags her tail too … especially if its the UPS guys. Golden Woofs
What a FABulous greetin’ that would be!!! Our UPS guy is scared of me, cause I bark my arse off and I sound like a pack of Rottweilers! BOL
Ma says I need to work on that, butts I say, scarin’ strangers is the whole point, isn’t it??!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Visitors get a very enthusiastic welcome.
Love that picture! My three all go to the door but they can’t look out because it is a wooden door with no window. They would love it if they had a glass door and they could see out! They would probably look a lot like your three at the door!
I love being greeted by wagging tails!
Such an adorable photo. We LOVE that kind of welcoming community. 🙂
A perfect photo! It captures their excitement wonderfully. The kitties always jump in the windows in front of the blinds when we pull in, and then as soon as the front door opens they jump down and rush to the door. They are pretty awesome welcomers too. It’s so nice to come home to so much love, isn’t it?
It’s pure pandemonium when someone rings the door bell! Corgis have big, deep barks and I am sure it sounds like much larger dogs are behind the door.
What a great “committee” to have greet you when you get home~
