Lilah is one cool dog–which is a little bit of a challenge when you have a thick coat of long black fur. Which is why every hot day in the summer I put out a kiddie pool for her to romp through.
Her favorite activity? Blowing bubbles in the water, which is what she was doing right before I took this picture; hence the drippy face.
The boys–my other dogs–don’t like to get wet, and will only put their paws in the pool if adequately rewarded. Which is why Lilah uses the pool as home base in every summertime game of doggy tag. She’s always safe in the pool.

She blows bubbles? That’s HILARIOUS!
It’s true. I have to try and record it sometime. She sticks her snout under the water, and walks around in circles blowing bubbles through her nose. It’s adorable.
What a “cool” photo. All of us kitties try to find a place on the tile floor somewhere; though, some of us will bake on the Catio or front porch. Those places are in the shade, however, just hot. It is too, too hot and humid here. Our humans hate it and so do we. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Shiner will only get wet willingly in the lake. Otherwise she hates it. I’ve also caught her blowing bubbles before in the water bowl. Too funny!
I sprayed water on Mr. N’s belly yesterday because it was so hot and he looked affronted. I had to bribe him with a treat.

We are contemplating a kiddie pool for the boys. They prefer going to sleep under the ceiling fan in the air conditioning. ☺☺

That looks like a great way to beat the heat! We never heard of dogs blowing bubbles, either. Sounds like a special doggie talent!

Oh, I loves blowin’ bubbles in the water too! Butts I don’t like gettin’ my furs wet if I can help it, Ma fills a bucket of water and puts a couple of balls in it and I go bobbin’ for balls! BOL
(yeah, that doesn’t sound right….)
