Dog & Cat, Black & White, Sun & Shade
Tweet
An early spring day, the house cool, snow still covering the ground outside.
The cat seeks out a patch of sun, bathing in its warmth.
Close by, with just a paw dipped into the heat, a black dog rests in the cool comfort of the shade.
Together, yet apart.

easy rider
Aw. Thanks!
The same thing often happens in our house!
😀
that is a super cool photo!
Thanks. At least Lilah thinks so. 😉
So adorable! Just snuggle and look adorable until all the snow melts!
Very good advice!
Soon you’ll see the green grass. Enjoy your sunshine. Golden Woofs
Oh, I hope so! Thank you!
Great photo. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thank you!
cats always have to steal all the sun.
In this case, Lilah doesn’t want it, because she gets too hot with all that black fur. So, the two of them don’t have to think about sharing. 😉
This is such a great shot of them co-existing in peace. Humans could learn so much!
You are so right!
That’s a wonderful photo. It’s sort of funny that the kitty has so much of the sun puddle. 🙂
Lilah isn’t interested in the sun. Since she has black fur, she likes to stay in the shadows, so it works out for everyone.
At our house we are divided into 2 dogs and one cat who love the sun, one dog and one cat who avoid it and prefer the shade.
Everyone has their own preferences, right?
Hi Y’all!
Everybody loves a sunbeam!
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Particularly the cat!
Some cat isn’t in to sharing that sunpuddle. 🙂
True, but Lilah doesn’t mind. She gets too hot with her black fur, so she prefers the shade.
From experience my guess is the black dog got too hot in the sun first, then he moved, the cat then took his spot. Right? Love Dolly
Very close! Lilah only lays in the sun when she’s outside in the cold winter. Otherwise, she prefers the shade.
What a great candid shot. I love that you caught this moment on film. I bet this happens a lot huh? 🙂
Not as often as I’d like. Still, everyone gets along. 😀
Of course the kitty has the sun bubble!

Mr. N is in the sun patch camp.
I figured he would be. That might be where he gets his energy; he could be solar powered. 😉
That is so sweet! My two dogs are the same way, my little white do always basking in the sun while my Husky prefers to bask nearby in shade.

Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Your husky is probably well insulated like my Lilah. They like the cold.
