Photo: And then…

I call this the “Before” picture.
What do you think happened next? Leave a comment with your ideas; be creative! I’ll post what really did happen by the end of the week.
UPDATE:
I promised I would tell the rest of the story, so here goes:
Elsa Clair (the cat at the top of the stairs) jumped down, nearly landing on top of her brother Calvin, whom she is giving the Dare You Stare in the picture. Calvin leapt up before she hit him and flew down the rest of the stairs, with Elsa Clair in hot pursuit. Lilah and Tucker, the two dogs at the top of the stairs, thought they were missing out on a grand game of Chase, ran down after the cats, who ended up on top of the kitchen buffet. The noise made Jasper (the big dog not even in the picture) bark, thinking the ruckus must require serious woofage, which then caused Lilah and Tucker to join in because if Jasper barked, there must be a reason. The three dogs galumphed to the window to see what they’re all barking at, as they operate on a “bark first, ask questions later” philosophy. The noise startled all the cats who ran and hid under bookcase, couch, table and bed, certain that Unwanted Visitors were about to arrive.
That all took place in about fifteen seconds.
Life with dogs and cats. Never a dull moment.

Did everyone run downstairs for dinner??
Well, you can write a whole story about that can’t you. The cat on the top jumped down, the dogs went in pursuit and the poor cat sitting on the stairs got run over.
I don’t know, but it looks like they are up to something! Hope they’re planning fun and not plotting trouble LOL!
That looks like a serious road block and I can’t imagine how the cats are going to get round it, but the one the banisters looks a bit knotted up!
elsa clair bet calvin he couldn’t slide down the banister…calvin said…your on….lilah asked tucker if they could try the same stunt…tucker said….uh…..
Boy anything could have happened, if the one cat falls I can see the dogs taking after it and jumping over the other cat! Can’t wait to see! Love Dolly
Well the possibilities seem endless! I really have no idea, but can’t wait to find out!
Let the chase begin! How did you catch that scene before all hell broke loose?
The cat on top fell down on the dogs which created a domino effect and everyone went tumbling down.
the dogs watched the cats fight!
That staircase must be the place to be! I think that the cat that is up on the side of the stair case starts a game of tag (batting each other through the rails)with the other cat sitting on the stairs.Eventually the dogs would have to try and play the game too 🙂
It sure looks like the stairs are the place to hang out. Did you have a stairway pawty?
The cat jumped on one of the dogs and rode him like a bull in the Rodeo?
The cats had a good game of wrestling and the dogs watched??
the cats take flying leaps and the dogs stay put? i dunno! 😛
I am going to take a wild guess and say a game of tag 🙂
Let’s see… Cat changed his mind, went around to the top of the stairs, bit the dog’s butt then went to the kitchen in search of Fancy Feast.
What do I win?
The lines are drawn for a battle of epic proportions! Who will win the battle for control of the stair empire?
Can’t wait to hear what really happened!
What a great picture! We can only imagine what happened next… Maybe the cat on the left jumped down, which sparked the dogs to go after the cats, resulting in a fun chase!
