Spring, You’re Late!
TweetAh, Winter. We’ve had our fun.
We’ve met Snow Dog…
…and Snow Cat.
We’ve played games.
We chased sticks…
…and squirrels…
…and each other.
We watched snowflakes…
and birds.
But it’s time for spring.
Actually it’s past time.
To be perfectly clear, spring is late.
Not just a little overdue. More like, time-to-call-Mother-Nature-and-ask-where-the-heck-spring-is-because-it-should-have-been-here-weeks-ago.
Don’t believe me?
Ask my garden:
Anyone else think spring is a little bit late this year?

We agree! It’s time for Spring! Hurry on up and get here!!!
We are still under a lot of snow too. Hopefully it will go away soon. Your crew doesn’t look to sad to still have snow to play in:)
Oops- where we live we gots Spring galore! 🙂 Here’s wishing you some warmth!

Pretty good evidence that spring is late.
I agree! Spring, better hurry up! I’ve had enough of the cold and ice. Your garden will be lovely soon.
Frankly, we’d rather stick with winter for a while yet. Spring around here means a lot of thaws and frosts, which results in bunch of ice and crusty snow.
We’re use to Spring being late around here. Right now we’re having a little teaser but we know what the forecast looks like for next week so we still have a little of waiting to do!
I agree :o) sadly our flowers wouldn’t wait for spring and came out with the first sunray… they haven’t noticed Jack Frost who lured still around :o(
We have the same spring delay! I just posted a picture of our “garden” – not a crocus or daffodil in sight, just a big muddy pool of thawing snow. Looks like we’ll have to buy our Easter flowers this year!
We understand really! Last winter we had over 90 inches of snow, there was snow on the crocus coming up. It’s all in my blog! Spring doesn’t technically begin for a few more days so just hang in there! It is suppose to be 70+ here today but personally that is just too warm for this early! Love Dolly
I hate to break it to you, but spring ins’t officially here until the weekend. And then you’ll be dealing with melt mush. Oh the joy!
When my Parker Prettycat was an outside cat, I noticed that her white fur looked more yellow when she was walking through the snow (which was so much more white) then when she was walking across grass or other surfaces.
Late for us in the MidAtlantic. Your pics and captions are great!! LeeAnna at not afraid of color
Love your winter photos, especially snow cat and snow dog. Spring is definitely late. We still have snow everywhere. Nelly’s King of The Mountain snow pile is still about 3-4 feet high.
That’s alot of snow you got there, spring where are you?
Winter never seems to want to give up it’s icy grip. I love your winter recap though! Spring is welcome to show up anytime now. Actually, we are having nice weather today, but it sounds like by the end of the week, winter is back.
I so look forward to your posts because of your happy dog face photos!
That’s why we moved to a place where spring comes in February.
Well, I’m glad it’s not just me thinking spring is late…and you’ve got the photographic proof! We’re not even close to seeing bare ground yet, never mind any flowers popping up! We say hurry up already!
We totally agree ! We hope Spring will hear your call ! Purrs
Spring has come super early here this year and we’ve broken several temperature records. People here are worried about drought!
Well, we don’t think spring comes until the end of March…if then…in our area. Though we have had some nice weather lately and our snow is almost all gone. But no flowers yet.
Our spring is too early. We had a warm not enough snow winter, and now this early spring. Not our year 🙁 We know most love it, but we really wanted another snow storm.
Ha! You have proof! I’m thankful that it got up to 50 today here, but it did leave a few ponds in our yard where the snow was this weekend. When we’re outside I just hear “shooooosh” and Laika’s running through it like a madman. I guess if she enjoys it what’s the harm? Dealing with all this mud and water is part of the deal I guess.
I am so inspired to learn my new camera – these are fabulous shots. We hit 50 degrees today. Woo Hoo!
It’s been Spring all Winter! Seriously..it’s been the warmest winter on record! Not that we really get THAT cold, butts we do have our winter storms (some of them quite nasty), butts this year…well, what we would give for just a little of your white stuffs! Come on overs…it’s Summer already! Seriously…it was 90 Saturday…nutty Mother Nature….
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We’ve had such great weather these past few days. Temps in the high 60’s and now they’re talking snow on Friday – UGH!
You make winter look fun!
That’s a lot of snow, we think Snow Cat is awesome.
