Haiku by Dog: Rake
TweetToday’s haiku is by Lilah.
Dogs are great to have around, particularly when it comes to outside chores, like raking leaves. Here are the many ways my dogs help:
- Redistributing raked leaves
- Shredding leaves into smaller bits
- Anointing the leaves when they’re dry
- Supervising leaf raking (shown above)
- Hiding gifts in leaf piles

You can tell there is genuine regret.
Genuine. Exactly. I mean, they’d help if they could, but alas, they simply can’t. Though they do find other ways to “help.”
No woofies around here to help. But, we bet we could accomplish the same things if given the opportunity! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
So true. My cats find lots of ways to be helpful around the house.
Oh yeah…they really look like they wanted to help. 😉
Maybe they’re the smart ones here, huh?
