Haiku by Dog: Scratched
TweetToday’s haiku is by Tucker.
Tucker is a fan of our kitty litter. World’s Best Cat Litter is made from corn, and I suppose that makes it tasty. When you add in those delicious treats the cats bury in it, well, that makes it all the more awesome. Kinda like the marshmallow shapes in Lucky Charms cereal.
Except I think cat poo is more ucky than lucky, and dog breath after eating it isn’t very charming.
When we’re out of the house, Tucker will try very hard to get to those snacks. Even though we have a hook on the door that keeps the door opening restricted to a less-than-Tucker-sized width.
Now when we leave, we put a gate up between the kitchen and the laundry room, high enough off the floor for the cats to easily duck under, but low enough that Tucker can’t fit.
Are there places you need to restrict your pet’s access?

My dogs are adopting the first and third line of the haiku. They will fill in the middle line as needed, 🙂
Mom was feeling a little queasy after reading this. We know woofies like to eat cat poo, but it is pretty gross. Sounds as if you have solved the problem as long as you do not mind having to constantly repaint that door. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
oh liar liar
dont wear pantz coz ther on fire
we noe ewe did it
Yikes, With 7 of us that would be a buffet here!
Obviously, the cat mistook the door for a scratching post!
Aw, Tucker….you really gotta stay out of the cat box. 😉
It’s just so irresistible to dogs, I don’t quite get it. The chef Alton Brown made a funny video of coming up with a dog treat that could be just as appealing as kitty litter to his dog. It’s a worldwide epidemic. But yeah, ask the cats how the door got like that.
Lee loves litter too, we use a baby gate to keep her out!
Shame, shame, Tucker. Pierson does that too, but to the front door because he is excited about his walk.
