Haiku by Dog: Worm
TweetToday’s Haiku by Dog is by Jasper.
If you’re a dog, there is nothing quite like a Really Good Sniff to make your day. Particularly if it’s something especially fragrant, like deer poo, dessicated vole, or dead worm.
Best thing to do is to roll in it. Then you can carry that lovely aroma around with you all day, and share it with your humans.
Do your pets like to roll in smelly things?

We try to find gross stuff to roll in, but we don’t roll in worms. Mom says to add thankfully to that sentence. Yuck!
Dead worm. Goose poo. The worst was the time my Keeshond mix rolled in bear poo. I’m going to have to write that story some time.
Dogs are so funny! They see the joy in every little thing in life. I love this haiku 🙂
Thank you. Yes they do. They joy of a dead worm. 😀
That sounds like such a dog thing to do.
Oh, it most certainly is. 😉
Daisy’s fussy about that – she rolls on the carpet but never in the grass. But our last dog rolled in whatever made her stink the worst!
Yeah, I hear you. Dog “perfume” does not appeal to the human nose.
Hope there was enough worm to go around!
Somehow, there’s always enough dead worm for everyone to stink appropriately.
My dogs want in!
Oh, I bet they do!
I guess we should be glad that our cats are indoors-only. 🙂
Probably. 😉
