Haiku by Dog: Seconds

Haiku by Dog: Tale of sadness writ / in window noseprints; they left / three minutes ago

The watchers at the window press wet noses against the glass, leaving snotmarks of sadness.

Even if you don’t turn back to see the soulful eyes staring at you, the hopeful hint of a wag, you can hear the eventual sighs of resignation that once again, you have left without them.

It’s a wonder we humans are able to walk out that door.

Do your pets send you on a guilt trip?

So true. The looks we get from Gracie and Zoe as we leave for work are SO pitiful sometimes.

Our windows are always covered in nose prints and cat snot. Dogs are better with giving you guilty looks, however. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
