Today’s Haiku by Dog is by Jasper.
The Comfort Hound is known for his long legs, laid-back disposition and his affinity for couches, beds and all things soft. His keen eyes and intelligent mind help him hunt the elusive Comfy Pillow, his favorite prey. While known for bursts of speed when chasing squirrels, the Comfort Hound is a mostly sedentary creature. A friendly dog, he is happiest when napping on a sofa, with his head resting on the lap of a convenient human. Pets and ear scritches are always appreciated.
Do you have a Comfort Hound or close relative? I’ve heard there are similar breeds among other species, most commonly felines.

I totally agree… a comfy place and pillows are great… I wonder why my mom is angry when I place my butt on her pillow… she has no sense for spa&zen :o)
So cute! Jasper looks he is in full lazy mode. I would have to say that both of my kitties are comfort kitties. They know all of the best ways to relax around here.
Jasper is nearly always in full lazy mode. The only creatures who out-lazy Jasper are the cats. But then…they’re cats.
This remind me of the poster: We were wolves once and wary and then we learned you had couches.

True. Pillows belong to cats first. A dog can use one only if a cat isn’t on it.
Love it. No comfort dogs around here, but we have comfort cats. Caster in particular is the bed lover. He’s actually the only one of the gang who sleeps in all of the many cat beds that we have. He makes his rounds, sure to lay in each bed!
I think it’s funny that he sleeps in all the beds. I wonder if he has a pattern or if there’s some kind of thinking behind which bed at which time…

Tucker uses the other dogs as pillows, too. Lilah doesn’t mind. Jasper gets up and moves.
