Haiku by Dog: Molecule
TweetToday’s haiku is by Jasper.
Dinner in my house comes with its own soundtrack.
The overture begins with the meows, yowls and cries of very hungry cats, who haven’t been fed in decades and are sure I have forgotten their very existence, and thus they are destined to die of starvation.
That is often followed by the thunk of cats swatting at each other because someone too close to someone else who was very busy being hungry and didn’t like getting interrupted.
A quiet section is next, with the light tones of slurping, munching and licking.
Of course there’s the grand finale, with cymbals crashing and timpani thundering — actually, wait a second. That’s just the sound of Jasper banging his stainless steel bowl within its stand as he licks Every. Last. Quark. Because he just might have missed a speck.
Are your pets noisy eaters?

And then it won’t need washing. 🙂
Sometimes I wonder about that. I wash anyway, but there are no food bits to clean off. Just dog slobber.
We’re not noisy. Zorro is just like Jasper : licking every last tiny piece of food and leaving a clean shiny empty bowl. Purrs
Two of my cats clean up after the others. They clean everyone’s bowls.
Jasper’s a member of the Clean Plate Club, for sure!
Always. Every last speck.
