Haiku by Dog: Dreams
Tweet
Today’s haiku is by Jasper.
On his way to bed, Jasper discovers a road block in the form of small cat. He outweighs Elsa Clair seven times over–at least. Yet he is stymied by her presence. He’s rightfully wary; cats have sharp and pointy edges, and can swat a dog who displeases them. (Let it be said that a dog’s very existence displeases them.)
But Elsa Clair doesn’t really mind the dogs. She doesn’t swat them, doesn’t rub them, barely even looks at them; to her, they’re probably no more than movable furniture. Though she knows enough not to hop on top of them.
So Jasper, just ask politely, and I’m sure Elsa Clair will let you pass. And then, like you say in today’s Haiku by Dog, may you have sweet dreams.
What do you think your pets dream about?

We think Jasper is very smart to show his deference to Elsa Clair. Liked the comparison to moveable furniture. Loved the haiku. Sorry we have been missing for a few days. We are going to try to catch up and find out what you all have been doing. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

MOL! It’s always funny to see much-larger-than-a-cat dogs scared of a little kitty. It’s cute.
Hey Jasper, at least she isn’t demanding you pay a treat toll or something!
Love it! Paws up! 🙂 🙂

Do you know the secret password, Jasper?
Love that Haiku, but it does seem like Elsa Clair will let you pass if you ask nicely, Jasper. 🙂
Smart dog, be careful of that kitty. Great picture. Some dogs and cats do get along. All the cats here love the one dog that we have. Happy Wednesday to you.
