Haiku by Cat: Mine
TweetToday’s Haiku by Cat is by Athena.
Yesterday was Read Across America Day, which is celebrated on Theodor Geisel’s birthday. If you don’t know who Theodor Geisel is, you may want to ask Horton, the Lorax, Bartholomew Cubbins or perhaps even the Whos in Whoville.
Dr. Seuss wrote many of my favorite children’s books, including The Cat in the Hat.
And, in honor of his birthday, I asked my cats to pose wearing a hat. Or even curled up inside a hat.
But cat being cat,
And you know about that,
The best I could get
Was a cat on a hat.
Athena has no interest in moving so I can keep my head warm when I venture out yet again into the winter-that-has-outstayed-its-welcome. I should know better than to put my hat on a chair.
Do your pets ever lay on your things? And if so, do you make them move or find a way to manage without the laid-upon item?

Another great haiku! Thanks for sharing.
Cats are the absolute worst offenders, us dogs don’t go on furniture, so there aren’t many issues with us.

We lay on everything…’specially the mom’s clothes. We got to fur them up before she puts them on.
We lie on our humans’ clothing and discarded items all the time. Mom never moves us. When we finally get up, she just takes the hair-covered clothes and puts them in the laundry.
