Haiku by Cat: Now

clean folded laundry / can be put away later / for now it's mine #HaikuByCat #Haikusday #Micropoetry

Today’s haiku is by Calvin.

Cat rules of ownership:

If it’s soft, it’s mine.

If it’s warm, it’s mine.

If it’s in the sun, it’s mine.

If you put it down, it’s mine.

If you need it now, it’s mine.

If another cat wants it, it’s mine.

If it flies, crawls, or scurries, it’s mine.

If it squeaks, chirps, or crinkles, it’s mine.

If it smells like food, it’s mine.

If I sit on it, it’s mine.

If I once sat on it and walked away, it’s mine.

If it’s the dog’s, it’s mine.

If it looks or acts like a box, it’s mine.

If I’ve been told I can’t have it, it’s mine.

Actually, it’s all mine.

What do you think? Would your cat add anything to the rules?
