Haiku by Cat: Frustration
TweetToday’s haiku is by Athena.
Chipmunks run across our deck, stuffing their faces with the maple seeds that helicopter down from the trees above. Athena follows their progress by running between the kitchen and the family room windows, twitching as she narrates the action with urgent chitters.
Though she may not agree, we are thankful that the chipmunks are outside and she is inside.
What do your pets like to watch through the windows?

And the Great Cat Hunter could catch them all, right? Even deer. 😉
I hear you… that is deepest frustration…. and a reason to bark… or to hiss?
Both, I think. Depending on who sees the chipmunk. 😉
That is a good one.
Thank you! 😀
We feel your frustration, Athena. Birdies have the same effect on us when they come on the window sill… Purrs
Window sill birds! So close, and yet so far…
We feel that way about the birds and squirrels we see outside.
I hear you. The thing about chipmunks is they come Really Close. They like to hug the walls of the house when they run past. It is extremely exciting!
My cats like to watch birds, wabbits, and squirrels. Bert likes to paw at the window if a critter or bird is outside.
A chipmonk? Me’s never seen a chipmonk. Can ya’ ketch it?
Luv ya’
