Haiku by Cat: Fashion
TweetToday’s haiku is by Athena.
As I get dressed in the morning, several pairs of eyes watch me.
The dogs look at me with a concentrated combination of love and wonder. They watch every move I make, as a way to discern if and when I’m leaving the room. Shirt: maybe. Pants: probably. Shoes: she’s leaving!
They’ll all run to the door to make sure that I’m accompanied to my next stop of the day: bathroom, office, kitchen, whatever. My posse is always with me.
When the cats make an appearance in my bedroom, they watch me closely as well. If it’s before mealtime, they focus on discerning which motions show intent to deliver breakfast.
At any other time, however, I am sure the cats are judging me.
“You’re wearing that top with those pants? Really?”
“That sweater isn’t very flattering. It makes your butt look big.”
“Wrong color. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.”
Of course all fashion mistakes can be fixed with the right accessories. If by accessories, you mean cat hair. Liberally applied.
Do your pets give you fashion advice?
