Haiku by Cat: Exist
Tweet
Today’s haiku is by Athena.
Athena and Tucker have an interesting relationship.
One of Athena’s favorite games is Ambush the Dog, where she sits herself down in a spot Tucker has to walk by when he’s playing indoor fetch. Then she swats him.
Yet sometimes she’ll rub against him, tail held high, like she’s his best friend.
This confuses the poor dog. If Tucker is on our bed when Athena saunters into our bedroom, he jumps off and army crawls underneath. It’s just better to avoid the potential for a sharp and pointy encounter.
Yets sometimes he’ll approach the cat and nose her like he wants to play.
If the two of them were on Facebook, their relationship status might read “It’s complicated.”
Which is why Athena may sometimes choose to simply ignore Tucker. Maybe it’s better that way.

That is the exact relationship my cat has with my four dogs.
Our cat Sophie likes to pretend dogs don’t exist. Bert wants to be a dog!
that’s a philosophic question, right? like to imagine an empty room with a table who never was there before that room became empty… ummm…what?
When you’re a tortie, you are required to show your tortitude. Mom wrote her first haiku since high school on Sunday. She thought it was fun and will probably do it again. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
