Haiku by Cat: Chill

Haiku by Cat: perched above it all / purrs in tune with AC's hum / new way to chill out

Today’s haiku is by Elsa Clair.

Today’s haiku calls to mind a line from a favorite poem of mine by Rosalie Moore, called Catalogue: “Cat’s sleep fat and walk thin.”

They can sit thin, too. The air conditioner that Elsa clair is perched upon  is only 3 1/2 inches wide.

If you look carefully, you’ll see that when she jumped up, my cat didn’t knock down the remote control that was resting there. Such poise. Such grace. Such accuracy.

There she sits: one cool cat. Without even realizing how amusing it is that she is chillin’ on an air conditioner.

Unless maybe she does…

What do you think? What amusing things do your pets do?

Elsa Clair has amazing kitty balance! I am amazed by Manna’s super fast toy attacks. She can come out of nowhere and take down a toy at lightening speed. With Dexter, I am amazed at how easily he climbs. He is like a little monkey!

  6. Elsa Clare is gorgeous. That has nothing to do with balance … but it was my first thought 🙂

    Cats are masters of balance!
