Haiku by Cat: Bored
TweetToday’s haiku is by Dawn.
Mouses, fishies, birdies, feathers, crinkle balls, ping pong balls, catnip carrot.
Apparently they’re only fun when they’re new, when a human is playing with them, or when another cat has them.
When cats play, it’s more like hunting, so perhaps to Dawn, that basket is full of inanimate nothings, until someone animates them.
At least now I know my purpose in life.

We have a huge basketful of toys as well. We like to drag them out and spread them through the house so we can watch our mom picking them up and putting them away. Our absolutely favorite toys are the ones made by Mom Ellen at 15 And Meowing. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth ad Calista Jo
I don’t even bother with a basket … the toys will wander around the house on their own … I just try not to step on them in the dark 🙂
We love anything with nip in it.
