Text from Dog: Shadow of himself
TweetDepending on the angle of the sun, my dogs’ shadows can look very different. Particularly Jasper. Maybe because he’s the tallest of the three, so he can cast the biggest shadow, but he has a peculiar talent of casting shadows that look completely undoglike. This happens so often that I have a collection of pictures where Jasper’s shadow looks like, among other things, a giraffe, a donkey, a cat, and anteater, and vacuum cleaner.
Now I can add “poodle” to the list.
I wonder what’s next.
Do your pets’ shadows ever look like something different?

MOL! It does kinda look like a poodle.
If he had stopped to think he would have known better. But instead of thinking, he dropped his bone and sprang at the Dog in the river, only to find himself swimming for dear life to reach the shore. At last he managed to scramble out, and as he stood sadly thinking about the good bone he had lost, he realized what a stupid Dog he had been.
Hah! It does remind me a little of Aesop’s fable about the dog and the bone. I guess Jasper’s lucky that all he saw was poodle on the ground instead of a dog in the river. 😉
