Text from Dog: Jailhouse bark
TweetIn the Book of Dog, Chapter 4, verse 27.13, it is written: Thou shalt chase squirrels.
Jasper, Lilah and Tucker are true believers.
The thing is, I’m more of a live-and-let-live kind of person. And I don’t like the sound of terrified little animals.
Thus, every time I take the dogs outside in our fenced-in yard, they are leashed — and sometimes temporarily incarcerated behind our pool fence — until I can make sure the yard is cleared of living squeak toys. Then they are released to bark their frustration at the ones that got away.
I guess that makes me an unbeliever.
Sorry, pups.
Do your pets hunt? What do you think about it?

Daisy’s always on leash because her running had to be restricted since her leg and back surgeries, but with my last dog I always made sure to protect tiny wildlife!
doggy jail 🙂
my parents’ former dog would catch voles (which they were ok with due to garden damage). I don’t know if the current dog is fast enough, but he sure does love giving the geese a run for their money
