Jasper hates walking through wet grass. After it rains, and in the morning when the dew hasn’t evaporated, Jasper tiptoes around the yard, trying to keep his feet dry. Or he stands his ground on an island of mulch, where he’s safe from moisture.

That’s too funny!! Daisy doesn’t mind getting her paws wet – or muddy – but she doesn’t like going out while it’s raining, not even a light drizzle. She also doesn’t like getting those wet or muddy paws washed and dried when she comes back in. That picture of Jasper is priceless – you can see exactly how he feels! 😀
Getting paws washed is just as bad as getting them wet. But we play a game we call “Treats for the feets,” in which each dog gets a treat for giving me a paw to clean. They’re not happy (at least the 2 boys aren’t; Lilah doesn’t care), but they’ll do anything for a treat.
Timmy hates wet paws too. He will walk on three paws sometimes because four wet paws is worse than three…or something like that.
That’s so funny. Jasper and Tucker do that too, when I encourage them to try and cool off in our kiddie pool. Somehow, you’re not actually in the pool if all four feet aren’t in it.
Our neighbors dog is the same way, Jasper! Rain outside = very short walk. 🙂

agrred. the mama had to rescue me yesterday with an umbrella… wet paws are the end of the world somehow :o)

I haven’t had a dog yet that had a problem with rain or wet paws. Luke has a thing about bugs though….he will freak out if there’s a bug on him, or if he even thinks he felt one! You should see the drama if he has a tick and we try to get it off…we have to be very sneaky so he doesn’t know what we’re up to. LOL

Too funny! Having wet feet can be quite annoying, I suppose. LOL I hope that Jasper was able to figure out a way to come back inside. 🙂
