There was no sound to indicate that Elsa Clair was nearby or had lept onto the hall table. But I happened to glance in her direction at just the right moment, in time to see her admiring the cat in the mirror.
Luckily, I had my camera at hand. I snapped a few quick shots, and then my little narcissisticat turned and looked at me; her expression priceless.

None of my animals, cats or dogs, have had any interest in mirrors after one sniff.
It was the first time she had ever expressed an interest — at least that I’ve observed.

She looked at me like she was caught in the middle of doing something suspicious. It was adorable.
It is important to occasionally admire one’s self!

You are very right. I was extremely lucky. I took a few others but they were blurry. And Elsa Clair was only there for a few seconds.
My cat also loves to admire himself in the mirror! I also published a post about it titled “Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest cat of all”. LOL
That’s so funny. That’s the first time Elsa Clair ever expressed interest in the mirror. Maybe she’ll check herself out more often like yours.
