For a cat, an open door is an open invitation.
Thus Dawn accepted the invitation to inspect my linen cabinet. And while she found that our sheets and towels were appropriately folded and stacked, there was one glaring issue: an absence of cat hair. She distributed it freely on the shelves she could reach and then gave me a earful about why she was not allowed on all the shelves, because she was pretty sure there were other items that needed her attention.
She walked away in a huff, mumbling under her breath about ungrateful humans. At least I think that’s what she said. I was too busy trying to prevent my other three cats from helping improve our linens.
