Obama White House takes a stand against canine prejudice

There are no bad dogs.

There are no bad dogs.

You would think the White House has better things to do. Thus it makes it so much more significant that the White House took the time to take a stand against Breed-Specific Legislation, responding to a petition on Whitehouse.gov.

The response notes that research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that “bans on certain types of dogs are largely ineffective and often a waste of public resources.”

It’s the people, not the dogs. “The simple fact is that dogs of any breed can become dangerous when they’re intentionally or unintentionally raised to be aggressive.”

Read the response in full.

And celebrate, care for and protect all dogs, no matter the breed or the mix.
