Haiku
snow, like life, offers
delight and difficulties
sticks to fur and snout
left unattended
fair game for occupation
this chair is now mine
huddled together
we find refuge with friends, while
they vacuum downstairs
a box can contain
restless coiled energy
for only so long
you don’t have to dig
too far to discover that
snow sticks to your fur
floating whispers heard
silently I disappear
missed vet appointment
tread with speed and care
for who knows what dangers lurk
underneath the couch
when dinner is served
best place: under the table
next to Grandma’s chair
the requests you make
sit. stay. ignore squirrel and bird
better be worth it
from up here I see
many things, including the
bald spot on your head
Stop, sniff and follow
Put your nose to the ground and follow us on...
