Haiku By Dog
proudly serving on
winter patrol, but I wish
my toes weren’t so cold
snow’s quiet beauty
lost amid the sirent scent
of a squirrel gone by
kind of hard to rock
the hipster scruffy look when
snow sticks to my bear
The ball was right here.
Then it rolled off the edge.
I hate gravity.
my needs are simple
the warmth of the sun and a
bed of fallen leaves
my contribution:
before you start raking leaves
I shall pee on them
advice to all dogs:
follow your nose to find your
scents of adventure
returning the ball
anticipating the thrill
when it’s thrown again
patrolling borders
swift feet , tuned ears, nose engaged
there could be a deer
a dog’s thoughts on ants
as they run past in a line:
don’t come near my paws
Stop, sniff and follow
Put your nose to the ground and follow us on...
