Rules for Lucy Dawson Book Sweepstakes

>Sweepstakes is for two books by Lucy Dawson, published by Harper Design: Dogs Rough and Smooth, and Dogs as I See Them. These are the recent editions of the books, published in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Approximate retail value for both books is $42.00. 

>No purchase necessary to enter or win. But it would be really swell if you could tell your pet-loving friends about it.

>Void where prohibited by law; we are all are law-abiding citizens and we would hope that the folks who enter this sweepstakes will be respectful of all appropriate laws as well.

>Sweepstakes is open to all human residents of the U.S. and the District of Columbia who are eighteen years or older. Relatives, employees, dogs, and cats of Life with Dogs and Cats are not eligible to participate.

>Winner will be selected randomly using Rafflecopter’s random winner selector thingy. I don’t know exactly how it works, but it’s certainly random.

>Winner will be announced on the blog on or around 12/19/16; we all like to know who won.

>No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted. Winner will provide Life with Dogs and Cats with his or her contact information and U.S. mailing address.

>Taxes are the responsibility of the human winner.

>Odds of winning the prize will be determined by the number of eligible entries received. Odds are, it will be someone who loves his or her pet or pets.

>Prize winner will be notified within approximately one week after the date of the drawing. If a potential winner declines to accept the prize, forfeits it, has violated any of the contest rules, misrepresents his or her entries, does not respond to award notification by the date listed on the notification, or is found to be ineligible, the winner will be disqualified and another winner will be chosen.

>Winners release Life with Dogs and Cats and any sponsors, employees, affiliates, agents, representatives, dogs, cats, dragons and unicorns from all liability and responsibility of any kind that is related in any way to the prize. 

>Winners consent to the use of their names and likenesses (and those of their pets) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Human prize winners may be required to sign a Liability/Publicity Release. Unless your dogs or cats have thumbs, we don’t require them to sign releases; it is your responsibility to attain the appropriate permissions from your pets.
