Sharing Sniffs with Friends

This time of year, when I take the dogs outside in the mornings, they cast long elegant shadows. The low sun–while it adds little warmth to the bitter cold we’ve been experiencing–adds drama to the photos I take.
As if my dogs couldn’t create drama of their own. (“She took my stick!” “OMG! There’s a deer!” “Squirrel! Squirrel! Squirrel!”)
Still.
Today’s nondramatic dramatic photo caught Tucker, Lilah and Jasper sharing a sniff. Because as soon as one dog finds a good scent, everyone else has to snorf it in, too.
I think it’s kind of like our human appreciation of a fine wine. It’s so much better to enjoy it with friends.

Bailie and I enjoy a good sniff together too, but often times we prefer to sniff different things. Mom says we have different tastes in sniffin’.
Just like some prefer different types of wines, I suppose… 😀

My two play together…endless, noisy, shouty play – the kind of play where, if you just heard them, without seeing them, you’d think they were killing each other – when in reality, it’s mainly Willow on her back snaffling Harvey’s ears – and Harvey screeching at the indignity of it all!
Yeah, I hear get that. Sometimes when mine play, it sounds like terrible things are happening. But it’s all just woofs and play growls. 😀
