Wordless Wednesday

But, but, but...

Butt, butt, butt…I sniffed it first!”

“That’s a likely tail.”

“Don’t get cheeky with me.”

“We’re getting behind!”

“I have a haunch you imagined a sniff.”

“In hindsight, maybe we should never have listened to you.”

“Don’t give me the bum’s rush.”

“That’s not veryΒ fanny.

“We reached theΒ bottomΒ and there’s nothing there.”

The end.

Does anyone else think dog butts are funny? I have way too many pictures of the back halves of my dogs. Or am I just weird? (I can take it.)

This post is part of Wordless Wednesday blog hop, though admittedly it contains more words than usual. Do puns count?

I always tell anyone trying to take pictures of my dogs that you absolutely cannot take a photo of a group of dogs without at least one butt! This photo though, is above my butt law of averages theory. And I love it! And I also have a lot of butt photos as well as can be heard frequently exclaiming “aw, I love your cute little (or large) fluffy butt!” Have I shared too much?

  2. There’s no ifs or “butts” about it…they’re cute alright!

  3. Maybe a little weird – but we doggie people understand that kind of weird LOL! And a very clever commentary!

  4. slimdoggy says:

Mostly they are pretty cute – the three of them all sniffing one hole is pretty cute too.

  5. da tabbies o trout towne says:

Hee hee! That’s a pretty PUNny post today, friends. Happy Wordless Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  10. Very funny! Mom takes a lot of butt pictures too because I am always walking away! Love Dolly

  11. Hahahaha!! That’s a funny photo!!

I do take pictures of my dogs from behind but they’re not as funny because mine don’t hold their tails up like that.

  12. There must be something really awesome in that snow! No butts about it! Look at all those fuzzy buns πŸ™‚

  13. MOL! Dog butts ARE funny!

  14. Oh I think Donna’s butt is funny… but I never posted the pictures since it seemed kind of rude πŸ˜›

    • The impression I’m getting from all of the responses I’ve had so far, is that dog butts are actually cute. So if you have a dog butt picture you can probably feel free to post it.

  15. Hi Y’all!

BOL! That is too funny! What’s got them all captivated?

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

    • Thanks. I have no idea what they were digging at. Perhaps they thought there was a squirrel or a bird under the snow. They walked away with nothing but they did have a lot of fun in the process. πŸ™‚

  16. You’re not weird at all! We should all do a butt Tuesday!! – ha!

My momma actually comments to friends once in a while that near my heinie/butt cheeks where I sit I have some hair colics or whirls/swirls and she thinks those hair swirls are cute. You are NOT the only one. BOL!

    • OMD! Rosie, one of my dogs, had those same swirls on her butt. We used to call them Dopplers after Doppler radar, which was introduced many years ago as a way to track weather patterns. Those swirls looks like the pattern a Hurricane makes when you look at it from above. We used to joke that that’s where she got her power from; she was pure terrier, always active. Maybe that’s TMI, but I guess it defines me as a crazy dog and cat lady. πŸ™‚

And Butt Tuesday sounds very funny. Maybe it could just be a once yearly hop, perhaps in December, the tail end of the year. πŸ˜‰

Great punny captions to go along with the photo! I just never find myself that creative!

  18. Looks like they found something good! Usually when my Molly dog is excited about something buried in the snow it’s a frozen poo, yuck!
