Black and White Sunday
Calvin casts a large shadow on the door of my bookcase. It probably made him just a little extra full of himself.
I sometimes challenge myself to take a picture that captures the essence of something without actually showing it, like the shadow of a cat or my dog’s footprints in the snow. What kind of photo challenges or goals do you set for yourself?

Shadow photos are always my favorites and how great to have such a lovely one with a cat! I feel like I should be a bot scared of that “large” kitty… 🙂

I love shadow and footprint pictures! I’m actually trying to take less pictures of my pets doing the same exact thing in each picture.

Great idea for B & W Sunday. It’s a challenge just to get my to be still for a micro-second to snap a shot!
Oh, don’t I know it. I wrote a couple of posts about what it’s like trying to get a good photo of all three of my dogs. (You can read them here: Picture Perfect, Part I and Picture Perfect, Part II.) As for the cats? I don’t even try getting them to pose.

Ooh… sinister 😛 My only challenge is to bother to take the camera out with me! :P… so lazy that way. Hah!
I need to work on more action photos but I mostly just use my phone so it’s slow progress.
