Photo: A cat has a dog bone. Discuss.
TweetCalvin has one of the dog’s bones.
This is one of those pictures that:
1) Is looking for a creative caption
2) Is crying out for someone to use it as a story prompt
3) Is an awesome opportunity for puns.
Any takers? Best one wins a treat/toy package from Life With Dogs and Cats. I’ll judge them based solely on the Giggle Scale.
Winner is Janet Blue with “I’m not touching that thing. I’m pretty sure it’s what turned the dog stupid.”

“I’m not touching that thing. I’m pretty sure it’s what turned the dog stupid.”
XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Cslista Jo
…and you’re the winner!
This isn’t a caption contribution, but our Cousin Earl grew up only with dog toys instead of cat toys. My mother swore that her beagle would eat cat toys and didn’t provide them. Earl might be the only cat who would have been delighted to see that bone! (He now lives with my sister and has more cat toys than he knows what to do with, so he has made up for lost toy time!)
To the dogs: “I am holding this bone ransom. If you ever want to see your bone again, you will need to obey my commands….. 1) No drooling. 2) Me and the rest of the cats get full control over all of the beds and windows in the house.”
I’m lousy at captions, but my cat bro Bert does steal dog bones and gnaw on them.
Every dog has his day, except the cat has the bone :o)
Not leaving a caption but just wanted to say that this is FAR from unusual at our house! Cody does this with Dakota’s bones ALL of the time! I have to completely hide his bones and his KONG treat dispensers when we all go to bed 🙂
This shows who really rules the world!
As the O2 advert says: Be more dog 🙂
Yuck…this thing’s covered in dog slobber.
“What-in-the-hair-ball am I supposed to do with this?”
Here’s the bone, just put the 2 lbs. bag of catnip down and walk away…
