TweetBlack and White Sunday
It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. Deck duty is important; critters might invade our territory and we all must be alerted.
On this day, Elsa Clair and Calvin were assigned.
Do your pets have favorite window seats? What do they look out for?
This is part of a Black and White Sunday blog hop. Check out some of the awesome black and white photos on the blog listed below.

Good job kitty’s, don’t let the intruders in.
Those kitties are very proud of their observation and hunting skills. 😉
We have a couple of window seats that look out to the bird feeders. Talk about hours of entertainment!
We have a window seat by the birdfeeders too–an entire bench that both dogs and cats can sit on. Apparently the deck is just as interesting though, even without the birdfeeders.
Sugar’s bed is by the patio door … of course she looks for her furry friend, FRED the chipmunk 🙂 Fred visited our patio last week. Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
That was very nice of Fred to stop by. We haven’t seen our chipmunks yet. They’re still hibernating. The cats remember, and are waiting.
Jack sometimes watches out the front window when we are hiding treats for find the food, but otherwise they don’t.
That’s very smart of jack!
Are there important things to watch out there?
Birds sometimes come by because we put seed out there when the ground was snow covered. And once it gets warm, chipmunks run right in front of the window! That’s the best!
They can’t see out any of the windows in the house but Mr. N loves the ledge by the back seat in the car.
I have a chair by the patio door with a nice big cushion my granny made for me so I sit on that and look out at the garden.
Purrs xx

when I lived in Ohio, my Angel Bobo used to sit at the window constantly! I lived on first floor there, next to woods and he loved watching birds, deer, squirrels, even people! (everyone at the complex knew him and would say hi when they passed), in Michigan, unfortunately for poor Cody, we are on second floor, not much to look at, other than some birds, and woofies pooping outside lol
Bentley and Pierre do double duty. The front window is to watch for humans and lizards and the back window is for SQUIRRELS!!
What pretty kitties! I have a big bay window in my living/dining room where my kitty likes to stretch out, catch some sun, and chirp at the birds and squirrels. He also likes to keep watch at the French doors in the bedroom where he keeps an eye on the bunnies and groundhogs, too, (with a little help from his dog sister)!
Our favorite spot is our windowseat in the living room. We can see the whole neighborhood from there. Happy Sunday!
Watching the world go by….so cute!
LOL! MY cat would have loved this. An important duty!
Teddy is always in the sunroom keeping watch but Ash and Scout could care less about what is outside! They would rather be in the house crashed on the couch!
Our cats spent all their time on the window seats to the back windows, we live on a second floor so they could watch the whole neighborhood. Poor Dolly doesn’t even bother, she can’t see out our windows which is probably for the best it can cause dogs to bark and make them territorial. The Lady
Your sentries are on alert! It appears that they are very good at their “job”
Keep up the good work! You never know when a squirrel might invade!
No, my turtles don’t have special window seat
They probably don’t need one; they’re too busy following you around. 😉
