Haiku by Dog / Haiku by Cat now on Dogster / Catster

Wordless Wednesday

When I began blogging five years ago, my fans told me they loved my work: “You should get this stuff published!”

What they meant was published for real. Like in a magazine or book.

It became a goal of mine. A dream. To reach a wide audience for my words. To share my photography. To get paid for my creativity.

Yesterday, I took a huge step in that direction. My Haiku by Dog and Haiku by Cat were highlighted on the home page of Catster.com and Dogster.com. My Haiku stories will be a regular feature–going up on those sites every two weeks.

I am now an official contributing writer, with my own author page on each site. I am a published author in an online magazine. For real.

Next goal: book author.

And here’s where I say thank you to everyone who encouraged me, believed in my work, and helped me along the way. Too many of you to list: family, friends and fans. Purrs and headbonks, waggy tails and shlorby doggy kisses to all of you.

Today, we’re participating in the Wordless Wednesday blog hop. (I know, I used a few extra words today.) Take a look at some of the great (and most likely less wordy) blogs who are also participating.
