Today’s haiku is by Lilah.
Running across the yard, Lilah stops short, backs up and begins smooshing her nose deep in the grass. You can hear her snorting as she inhales deep drafts of Eau de Deer Poo. Then she dives headfirst into the scent, driving her face and then shoulders into it. The other dogs recognize the maneuver and, before I can stop them, they join in the stinkfest. Soon all three pups are rolling in it, paws in the air, upside down grins on their faces.

Haha! Nice. No dogs here, and the cats don’t roll in anything. But they eat each other’s throw up…
My dogs have taken the joy out of visiting the ocean by rolling in a very dead sea lion. Putting up with the smell all the way home was horrible.
I was rockin’ along with you until I came to deer poop. That’s when I was suddenly very glad Bentley and Pierre don’t have access to any! Haha!
We munch more than we roll. Mom’s first dog rolled in sheep poo. I heard that was a terribly, stinky mess.
Leave it to dogs to sniff deer poo. 😉
Yikes. Thank goodness our cats are all indoors-only… 🙂
