Haiku by Dog: Clean

artful tablecloth hides friendly cleaning service better than Roomba

He waits patiently, almost zen like, knowing that that it will come. A snack fallen from the sky–or at least the table. One must consider who’s chair to be positioned next to? The sloppy eater, who flings food and misplaces morsels? Or the kindly soul who takes pity on a strategically positioned snout, and slips a tasty tidbit when she thinks nobody’s looking.

In today’s Haiku by Dog, it’s Jasper who’s scoped out the best place to sit. Even though they know we have a “no people food, no feeding from the table” rule, the dogs still believe that providence will provide. Look carefully and you’ll see Tucker is right behind Jasper, hoping to snag a snack as well.

Dogs are a lesson in hope.

Where do your pets sit when you eat dinner or when company comes over? Do they know who will toss them a treat? Or who will inadvertently drop or spill?
