Haiku by Dog: Mail
TweetToday’s haiku is by Tucker.
When I take the dogs for a walk, there are certain required stops along the route: a fire hydrant, every telephone pole, and one special tree that I call The Post Office; I think every dog in the neighborhood picks up and leaves messages there.
Do your dogs have favorite spots on their walks?

BOL! That is funny! Way to go Tucker.
That’s funny! Daisy doesn’t have a “spot”, she has a ritual – after her regular walk, she has to go around the entire fence perimeter of the back yard and sniff it all, then charge across the yard back to the front door. Of course, she’s on leash, so one of us is charging with her. Being that the yard is 3/4 acre, we have to leave extra time in the morning before work!!
It sounds like the Post Office is a real hot spot! 🙂
BOLing over here. Love it. We don’t have fire hydrants here where we are, so mine use lampposts.

that’s a good idea to check your mails very often… you never know what you will get…maybe a winning information from the lottery :o)
We have one fire hydrant and a street sign that MUST be visited on every walk!
We have a few hydrants, light poles and signs which need to always be sniffed and peed upon. Important stuff!
Our neighbor’s dog always leaves us pee mail in our yard. 😉
Hope you had a lot!
Post office! Haha! I think there’s one post office in our neighborhood. I don’t have a dog, but as far as I can tell, no dog can resist this tree.
I stop and smell the same spots every walk to the park and usually poop on the same lawn (a Doxie lives there). Mom just does not understand! Love Dolly
