Haiku by Dog: Leaves
TweetToday’s Haiku is by Tucker.
My dogs are great help around the house, particularly when it comes to raking leaves. That is, of course, if by “help” I mean “jump in our nice tidy pile of leaves, thrash around, shred them to bits and scatter them all over the yard again.”
Tucker, with his ever-present ball firmly tucked in his jaws, leaps in with Jasper and Lilah. Lots of barking and playing and pouncing ensues. That’s when Tucker realizes he lost his ball in the fun. And now he has to rely solely on his nose to recover his most precious item.
Don’t worry, though. Tucker’s nose never fails him. It might look like a challenge, but he finds it every time. And then purposefully drops it back in the leaves just for the joy of finding it again.
Do your pets like playing in the leaves?

My dogs seem to think leaves are creatures from another dimension and they avoid touching them.
I’m sure your nose leads you directly to your ball Tucker :o) Easy first plays with the leaves and he sadly used the pile of leaves for other things :o)
I would guess it is pretty easy for him to locate, the hard part is getting to where it is located.
Thank goodness for Tucker’s nose! Losing one’s favorite ball could be a real downer!
Tucker, sometimes you gotta make your own fun!
