Haiku by Dog: Tilt
TweetToday’s haiku is by Jasper.
I’m sure there’s a mathematical formula somewhere that describes the relationship between a dog’s titled head and the chance of him getting a treat. The greater the tilt, the more likely a treat. And maybe a belly rub or two thrown in.
What is it about a cocked head that hits me straight in the Aww and reduces my cute resistance to microscopic size?
And they know it, too, our dogs. We humans are powerless before the heart-wrenching force of the tilt, the eyes, those floppy ears…
Ok, Jasper, what kind of treat do you want?
What do your pets do that is simply irresistible?

The head tilt always works for the dogs.
Mom often says just looking at me or watching me makes her melt. Not sure what kind of a softy she really is, but I don’t mind.
I can imagine. To be honest, all any of my gang has to do is look at me, and I turn into mush.
The head-tilt is a best of ! Purrs
That’s why they use it whenever they can. It works!
The head tilt gets them every time. 😉
Gets me right in the awwws.
head tilt gets them every time!
So true. Which is why my dogs use it often.
That head tilt is some powerful mojo, for sure! 🙂
Well put. And exactly right. 😀
