Haiku by Dog: Ground
TweetToday’s Haiku by Dog is by Tucker.
Twitchy little beasts, squirrels. For a terror terrier like Tucker, every chittering utterance is a siren call; the dog cannot resist the urge to chase.
While I personally am not a huge fan of those birdseed bandits, I still think they’re kinda cute, and am always glad when the squirrel gets away.
Just don’t tell Tucker.
Who do you root for when your pet is on the hunt?

Oh I hear you… and I put a howl-i-copter on my wishlist for Santa :o)
That sounds like a great way to catch squirrels! Good luck!
What a lovely photo! Is there a squirrel teasing you?

Those pesky squirrels never stop teasing!
My dogs think squirrels are spawns of the devils. I’m just glad dogs can’t climb trees.
Oh, I agree! Because Tucker would be up a tree in a heartbeat!
Squirrels are a lot of fun! Like you, I tend to hope that if the prey is a living thing (of the non insect variety), that it gets away. It is a very rare opportunity when my kitties get to go after anything like that though.
I agree. Fun to watch, but I don’t want my pets to catch anything live.
Mom really wants us to catch a squirrel, just once. I mean really, if they get caught, they must be pretty dumb.
I guess our squirrels are all smart then. At least so far…
Those squirrels are evil…always taunting us.
They’re furry little bullies, right?
OMD….GET HIM!!!!! Squirrels are EVIL tree rats, that need to be kept in their place!!!! Peeps are TRAITORS!!!! Ma thinks they are ‘kind of cute’ too!!! WHAT??!! Obviously the peeps have been hoodwinked by their furry little tails…
We gots to keep on top of this Terriers of the World!!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Ruby, I think you’re right. I’ve been hoodwinked. And I have to admit, I’d be worried if the terriers of the world united!
Tucker, if only you could climb that tree, those squirrels wouldn’t be so sassy!
