Haiku by Cat: Dog

Haiku by Cat: when yoga's purr-formed / by a cat, is it still called / downward-facing dog?Today’s haiku is by Elsa Clair.

Cats — and dogs — are professional stretchers. Every time they get up from sitting or sleeping or napping, they stretch, luxuriously extending paws, claws and muscles.

It’s no wonder that yoga poses are named after these creatures. Perhaps we should take a cue from our pets, and spend a little time caring for and tuning our bodies.

How do your pets stretch?
