Today’s haiku is by Calvin.
I have a theory that, to a cat, a bookcase is nothing more than a series of boxes stacked on their sides. For some unfathomable reason, humans feel the need to put things in these lovely stacked boxes. Sometimes, there is room behind those objects to hide, but it isn’t always arranged to a specific cat’s liking. When that happens, it is up to the cat to reorganize the objects–and by reorganize I mean push everything off the shelf.
In my house, the cats and I have come to an agreement. I leave a few strategically empty shelves, and ensure there is space behind the books. They keep the reorganization to a minimum.
Books. Cats. Discuss. Anyone else rearrange their house around their pets?
