What I Did at BlogPaws
TweetRecently I traveled to Nashville to hang out with others of my kind: pet bloggers.
BlogPaws is the premiere conference for people who like to write, post, tweet, like, comment and share everything pet.
I learned a lot, made friends, hung out with dogs and cats and ferrets and rats and had an all-around good time. Here are some highlights:
I sniffed out the best sessions to attend.
Tasha from PupScouts is ready to take notes.
Learned how to improve my (blog’s) performance.
Author Belinda Jones and I perform a Chorus Line parody for Merrick Pet Care. Everyone who participated named a rescue organization — and Merrick donated $250 to each one.
Picked up some style tips.
Marci Kladnik — president of the Cat Writers’ Association — and I sport cat glasses we made at the Cat Style Lounge by Hauspanther.
Bridged the gap between dogs and cats.
Rover poses on the Indiana Jones cat bridge by Catastrophic Creations. I need one of these. I mean, my cats need one of these. Or more.
Spent some time kitten around.
The unbearable cuteness of kitten.
Pigged out.
Pigs. In a stroller. Wearing cowboy hats. Yup. That’s Priscilla the Mini Pig and Pop.
Got trashed.
Talking trash: As part of their zero waste initiative, BlogPaws worked with the Pet Industry Sustainability Coalition to lessen the environmental impact of the conference.
To make up for all that, I did some laps.
Sochi dog Malchik from A Dog’s Dish crawled into my lap. Such a sweetie.
When it was all over, I brought home some great swag…
Dog swag, cat swag, husband swag
…and memorable tails.
So many dogs, so little time…. Love these cuties including Chai Latte.
Looking forward to next year…in Phoenix!

Dad enjoyed his swag almost as much as the dogs and cats.
