Top Dog… Err… Blog
TweetIt’s always nice to be appreciated.
Recently, we were chosen as one of the top 31 pet blogs to follow by Pierre from Bearded Dragon Tank.
We were honored to be among the list of top sites that feature stories, news, reviews, and photography about all kinds of pets. We’re not just talking dogs and cats here; the blogs chosen by Pierre include ones that focus on horses (A Gift Horse), rabbits (Speedy the Cheeky House Bunny), reptiles and amphibians (The Wandering Herpetologist) , geckos (Gecko Time) and birds (Parrot Nation).
If you read the blogs in Pierre’s list, you’ll find that while the people behind them may focus on one animal or species, they all care about the nonhuman individuals with whom we share our hearts, our homes and our world.
Pierre’s blog is about bearded dragons, those fascinating reptiles that look like miniature dragons.
And while we were very excited about being chosen, we couldn’t help but ask, “Why 31?” It’s such a random number.
When I asked Pierre, he told me he originally aimed for 25, but he found so many great pet bloggers, he “had to include more.”
There are many of us out there, and as I mentioned in my post about saving frogs from our pool, it makes me feel good. Caring about the creatures of this earth — the home we all share — is the essence of humanity.
