Funny: Three seasons of dog
TweetWordless Wednesday
Notice there are only three seasons. That’s because mud season comes twice a year–when the grass isn’t growing and the rains come down.
During mud season, we keep a pile of towels and microfiber cloths at hand in our laundry room. When the pups come inside, we play a game we call “Treats for the Feets” as we wipe down a dozen dog paws.
How do you deal with all the mud that comes in on rainy days?
This is post is part of the Wordless Wednesday blog hop. Take a moment and visit some of the great blogs below.

Love this post, it is so our house, but our grass season also comes with lots of sand all over the house!
Hadn’t thought of sand. But I get it. Someone also told me not to forget dust. I guess maybe there are more seasons than I thought.
Well, ain’t that the truth!
😀 It was nice of Tucker to demonstrate. 🙂
That is so true!!
Thanks. I love it when the grass grows in and I don’t have to wipe paws.
Absolutely love it!
Lots of Woofs from Earl an I at Earl’s World!
Thank you! I thought it was something many dog people could relate to.
What an awesome post! I have paw prints all over my floor all of the time but if I didn’t have the paw prints I wouldn’t have my dogs and I would rather have my dogs! So I’ll keep the paw prints!
Oh, I don’t mind the muddy paws. It comes with having a dog, right? Pawprints on my floor and on my heart. <3
This is Chicago we only have 2 seasons Winter and Construction. Haha old joke around here. Mud isn’t too much of a problem except with my low clearance which we just clean off with a towel! Love Dolly
Low clearance, that’s too funny. Hey, even my tall dog Jasper winds up with mud on his belly. 😀
Fortunately, we don’t go outside, so no mud problems for us.
Instead, you probably have kitty litter feet. 😉
YIKES. We don’t think we’d like that “mud” season. Luckily, we are inside cats, so Mom and Dad are spared “treats for feets.” 🙂
I’m not sure any of our cats would appreciated getting their feet wiped; they’re unhappy enough about the nail clipping. 😉
We keep a towel by the back door for muddy paws. We never have snow feet though.
Snow feet are only a problem with some dogs; some fur just collects snow balls–even in between the toes!
Luv these pics
Aw, thanks!
It’s almost always mud season here lol. Mr. N gets hauled away to the sink and has his feet rinsed.
It’s convenient that Mr. N is small enough to be cleaned in a sink. That wouldn’t work for any of my pups. 😉
