Text from Cat: So Hungry I Could Eat a….
TweetIf you would believe my cats, they will tell you they are never fed. Ever.
That I don’t have two shelves full of several varieties of a high-end cat food, as well as organic dry food that I use for training and in treat puzzles. That they aren’t served their meals morning and evening on glass plates usually used for the humans’ Thanksgiving dinner. And that each plate is not lovingly prepared and set upon individual placemats for fine feline dining.
No. They’re hungry. Starving. So thin. If they turned sideways, you wouldn’t be able to see them.
These pitiful creatures put on a Shakespearean purr-formance of monumental tragedy.
At least twice a day.
How do your pets tell you when it’s meal time?

I’m glad that works for you. If I left food out, I’d have porky cats. Or dogs. Actually, some would be porky and others would be scrawny because they’re a little exuberant in getting their food.
My pets have trained me to keep full bowls at all times or they scoot empty bowls around the floor. They don’t over eat so I go with it.
You are lucky. We can’t do that in our house, not with 3 dogs and 4 cats—all of whom think all the food is their food.
